|In Honor of all the Trees
I think sometimes we forget about all the gifts that the trees give to us, so that
we may live. This panel was inspired by the great oak that graces
my yard with shade. She is over 200 years old. The panel is 23.5 inches
square and framed in copper came. The corners are a rose color English
muffin glass with the background done in a blue water glass. The hills
are Bullseye ring mottle, and the ground around the tree has many
earth colors that change with the light.

I think that I shall never see
A poem as lovely as a tree.
A tree whose hungry mouth is prest,
Against the earth's sweet flowing
A tree who looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;
A tree who in the summer wears
A nest of robins in her hair;
Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.
Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.
